International Aid

Categoría general

The International Aid and Cooperation in Jamaica is managed by the central government and since 2011 has implemented a national strategy called Aid-for-Trade to articulate the country’s priorities for negotiating access to and efficient use of aid and investment to bolster its international trade.
Although it is not explicit that local governments can access international aid resources, The National Foreign Trade Policy states that the projects can be presented by Ministries, Departments, Agencies, Private Sector & Civil Society and then is evaluated by institutions from the central government for their approval.
