Join our webinar!

We invite you to participate in our next virtual event, where we will explore the importance of urban operators and their contribution to the challenges of achieving sustainable, fair and inclusive urban development in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Webinar will offer a rich exchange of experiences that will allow us to reflect on the crucial role of urban operators as facilitators and managers in the planning of cities and in the implementation of land use plans. We will have the valuable participation of several cities in the region, who will share lessons learned in land management, financing mechanisms and collaboration with the private sector.

We will highlight the importance of including diverse urban stakeholders to equitably redistribute burdens and benefits, encouraging mixed land use that promotes social inclusion and integration. In addition, we will explore the encouragement of less profitable uses, such as social and priority housing with good location.

This webinar seeks to fuel the debate on integrated public policies and urban practices that drive sustainable development in our cities.

Don't miss this opportunity to learn and contribute to the dialogue on the future of our cities!

Soon we will attach the connection link and provide more information.

Description

The Inclusive, Sustainable and Smart Cities (CISI) project, within the framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Latin America and the Caribbean, is a successful example of fruitful cooperation. This initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). CISI's main focus is on the Great Impulse for Sustainability (GIS) approach, which aims to support the countries of the region in promoting economically, socially and ecologically sustainable development by bridging the existing gaps. One of the driving sectors identified by ECLAC is urban mobility. In this context, the CISI project aims to support ECLAC and the countries of the region in the implementation of the GIS approach in the field of urban connectivity.

In order to disseminate the results of the first phase of the project (2020-2022) and its contribution to the Big Push for Sustainability, a side event has been organized in the framework of the Sixth Meeting of the Latin American and Caribbean Countries Forum on Sustainable Development.
